Hello! 

 

I am Grace Vander Weil and I am a senior majoring in photography at Morningside College.

I am a Sioux City native born and raised which has given me many years to scope out amazing locations for photo shoots. I have always loved art growing up and over the years photography has become my passion. I’m more of a behind the camera type person and I like capturing the beauty in everyone.

 

I am a very family oriented person and would do anything for my family and friends. My niece Ellie Mae is my pride and joy and provides me with great practice photographing infants/small children which always proves to be the most entertaining photo shoots. Along with younger cousins and extended family, I enjoy keeping up with them capturing precious moments. 

 

When it comes to seniors, I absolutely adore capturing the realness of my models, avoiding uncomfortable poses and fake smiles, I want my models to feel as comfortable as possible when in front of the lens. It's your time to shine!

 

I have recently discovered the joy of landscape photography and some of my favorite shots were taken in Colorado. I am definitely a very adventurous person and I love going on weekend trips to Colorado or to my parent's cabin at the Iowa Great Lakes. I want to travel the world someday and of course, take my camera along for the ride so I can capture what this world has to offer and share it with all of you.
